Dr Jane Calvert, BSc (Hons), PhD, LLB
Patent Lawyer, Director
- Jane has been CuroNZ’s patent lawyer for the last 10 years
- She is a principal of Southern Cross Intellectual Property Ltd
- Jane is a registered Trans-Tasman patent attorney and a practicing lawyer with a PhD in organic chemistry
- Jane has extensive experience in intellectual property matters and an impressive list of clients including a number of major biotechnology, functional food, process chemistry, medical device and pharmaceutical companies
- In 2007 she was appointed Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Contracts at Inotek Pharmaceuticals Corporation in Boston, USA, where she helped build the company’s intellectual property around a new chemical entity that went through to phase 3 clinical trials, a listing on the NASDAQ
Kevin Sullivan, LLB
Chief Legal Officer, Director
- Kevin has been our CLO for the past 6 years
- He is experienced commercial and civil litigator and a barrister since the formation of Port Nicholson Chambers in 2009
- He has several biotech clients and he brings a pragmatic approach to all things legal
- He is a key advisor to CuroNZ’s executive team as well as being a recently appointed director
- Member of the New Zealand Law Society
- Member of the NZ Bar Association
Neisha Voot, BSc (Hons), MSc, Diploma of Business Studies
Chief Operating Officer, Director
- Neisha was the original seed investor in 2009 and since then she has had the role of COO at CuroNZ
- She established the CuroNZ companies in NZ, US and Australia as well as put the necessary management structures in to support the scientific work
- Widespread hands-on experience in operational management, psychological consulting, business consulting and human resources
- Neisha has also set up and run her own company Niche Consulting, an HR specialist firm for the past 16 years
- As part of the executive team, she brings managment and HR experience to CuroNZ
- Registered Psychologist since 1998
- Member of the New Zealand Psychological Society Inc
- Member of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology (SIOP)
